Central and Eastern Europe Regional Technical Exchange 2015 (CEE RTE)
Last week I did have an opportunity to join an IBM RTE conference held in Prague, hotel Ambassador (Zlata Husa). CEE RTE started in 2010 and it’s a yearly event, for me it was the first time to attend. Event was professionally organized and moderated by Mike Starkey as well as broadcasted online. The motto of conference for this year was:
“Leading with Clients, Community and Change”
Program was clear:
- Meet new people
- Share your experiences
- Have fun!
We had a chance to see fascinating presentations of IBM Fellows, strategy following CAMSS and technical presentations on topics including IBM Watson, Bluemix and many others contemporary technology. Here are the keynote sessions from the conference:
- Technical Strategy – Paul Martynenko
- CEE Strategy – Carsten Wenkel
- Cloud Strategy in CEE (Krzysztof Rafalski, Brent Taylor & Goran Kruljac)
- Big Data – Jeff Jonas (IBM Fellow)
- Analytics Strategy in CEE (Tim Gunnell, Michael Zink & Martin Svik)
- Corporate and Personal Reinvention – John Cohn (IBM Fellow)
- Security Strategy in CEE (Gyorgy Racz & Zsolt Kocsis)
My interest was Cloud Strategy and Cloud Solutions, there was a number of sessions to attend and opportunity to speak with panelists about offerings or solutions. The conference took place from 5.5.2015 to 7.5.2015 and was intensive and very good. I met technical experts, people like me working for different customers but with same challenges at work, we had a chance to share experience. If you will have chance to attend I definitely recommend to join next year or attend other conferences organized around the world. You can find a schedule at: Technical events & conferences
